A few industries, especially in technology, seem to have benefited from the global pandemic. In a time where human contact is discouraged, technology is what helps us stay in touch in some form. So at least, I am glad for this.
Forecasted by IDC, worldwide spending on AR/VR will accelerate out of the pandemic, growing from just over $12 billion in 2020 to $72.8 billion in 2024. Hardware will account for 66% of all AR/VR spending by 2024; this will decline in share as software and services gain momentum.
